STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (Oct. 19, 2016) – The Staten Island Board of Realtors’ (SIBOR) Global Business Council has been named a 2016 “Gold Council” by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). Announced last week, the prestigious designation recognizes SIBOR’s outstanding accomplishments in raising members’ awareness of global business opportunities.

“Our local Global Business Council, chaired by SIBOR director Ron Molcho, reflects the commitment of our organization in providing our members with optimum opportunities for professional growth within a highly competitive market,” said Sandy Krueger, CEO of SIBOR. “On behalf of our association’s 1,800 members, I thank the National Association of Realtors® for honoring our Global Business Council.”

Represented by 350,000 REALTORS®, the Global Business Councils across the United Stated were evaluated by NAR in five focus areas: Business Plan, Marketing & Communication, Events/Education, Outreach, and Benchmarking.

SIBOR’s global initiative was underscored by an extensive internal communications program, as well as an ambitious external marketing and public relations campaign managed by Relevant Public Relations LLC.

In September, the Brooklyn Real Estate Board joined the Staten Island Board of Realtors in co-hosting the Global Real Estate Summit & Expo, an annual event that SIBOR has spearheaded for a decade. In addition to New York Realtors, attendees included business people from across the nation, and abroad.
