STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (DEC. 6, 2022) – An upcoming SCORE-Staten Island webinar is a must-attend event for tax professionals and small-business owners seeking to keep up with changing tax regulations.
The three-hour Zoom-transmitted workshop – “Taxes, Taxes, Taxes – What’s changed in 2022?” – will take place Saturday, Dec. 17, 9 a.m. to noon.
Sponsored by Richmond County Savings Bank, a division of Flagstar Bank, N.A. – Member FDIC, the webinar is presented in collaboration with Doreen M. Inserra, certified public accountant (CPA) andcertified government financial manager, and the Independent Association of Accountants of Staten Island. Inserra’s namesake professional practice is based in Staten Island, N.Y.
The seminar, featuring Inserra, is structured to address an audience of CPAs; Public Accountants (PAs); Enrolled Agents (EAs), and other tax practitioners, in addition to taxpayers and small-business owners.
During the webinar, Inserra will cover a variety of topics related to changes in tax regulations, including: The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022; the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021; New IRS Form 7203; S Corporation Shareholder Stock and Debt Basis Limitations, and Creation of a Tax and Accounting Practice Written Security Plan (WISP), required for tax practitioners’ annual renewal of their Preparer Tax Identification Numbers (PTIN).
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
Three-hour CE or CPEcredits in taxation are available at a nonrefundable fee of $35 for qualifying attendees. Tax practitioners must provide their Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN), and certified public accountants must provide their CPA License Number on their course evaluation form. A certificate will only be issued to attendees after they have submitted an evaluation and sign-off at the end of the program. Course name and number will be included on the evaluation form.
Attendees who are not seeking educational credits may attend the workshop free of charge by using the word “FREE” as their discount code when registering.
