STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – It seems no matter what he sets his mind to, Barton Horowitz has no problem achieving success.
At 63, Horowitz has held several top job titles and held them all successfully — moving almost seamlessly from one to the next, making the difficult look effortless.
Horowitz’s latest venture is Relevant Public Relations, LLC. Started in 2009, Relevant PR prides itself on offering the type of professional, top-notch, elegant, yet attention-catching public relations and commercial/marketing strategies that get businesses noticed.
For his endless ambition, ability to take risks, and his business savvy and expertise, Horowitz has been selected as a recipient in the Emerging Category for the Louis R. Miller Business Leadership Award.
The Graniteville-based firm provides multimedia public relations and commercial marketing services that are comprehensive, yet unique. Offerings are numerous: Professionally scripted press releases; traditional, digital and broadcast-news distribution; social-media management; Website and blog content; e-mail marketing; commercial copy writing, and more.
Horowitz said the business focuses on cost-effectiveness while creating, customized brand-building geared specifically to meet a client’s needs and reach to their targeted audience.
As founder and president, Horowitz chose the name Relevant because, “Relevancy should be the heart of every media release. My goal was to let the media industry know from the onset that my firm was the real deal, providing ‘relevant,’ well-written and expertly researched information on behalf of my clients.”
His firm’s client roster embraces real estate, banking, finance, law, insurance, home improvement, retail trades, not-for-profit foundations, and more. The company’s reach is local as well as international and includes media-industry partnerships, which Horowitz said allows the business to rival the largest of its Manhattan counterparts while effectively steering some big names to the Island.
