STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (Nov. 16, 2016) – A Dec. 3 seminar on Staten Island will provide guests with insight into some of this year’s latest significant tax changes, as well as the Affordable Care Act and American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012.
Sponsored by Richmond County Savings Bank, a Division of New York Community Bank – Member FDIC, the “Highlights of 2016 Federal & New York State Tax Changes” workshop is a SCORE Staten Island event, presented in collaboration with the Foundation for Accounting Education (FAE) and the Staten Island Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).
Geared to address an audience comprised of accountants, enrolled agents, certified public accountants (CPAs), small business owners, and the general public, the seminar’s featured speakers will include Doreen M. Inserra, CPA, P.C., and Robert Smith, assistant public relations officer, New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.
“To do intelligent tax planning, you have to be an informed taxpayer and tax practitioner,” Ms. Inserra said. “SCORE’s Annual Tax Update helps to provide the cutting-edge Federal and New York state tax tips needed to be ready for the upcoming tax season. I am glad to participate each year in conjunction with SCORE, FAE, and the Staten Island Chapter of CPAs, as well as the New York State Tax Department this year, to provide such a vital seminar to the general public.”
