STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – “Women: It’s Time to Take Charge!” is the theme of an upcoming free seminar conducted by women, specifically for women, with the aim of guiding attendees toward financial know-how and secure futures.
The SCORE-Staten Island event, presented in collaboration with the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber’s Young Professionals Group, and the Staten Island NFP Association, will feature three complementary experts – an attorney, a financial advisor and an accountant – who will discuss such vital topics as: Personal Money Management; Obtaining Credit; Organizing and Keeping Books and Records; Insurance Options; Investing; Putting Legal Affairs in Order, and Wills and Estate Planning.
The Staten Island workshop, which includes a continental breakfast, will take place May 9, 8:30 a.m. to noon, at the Hilton Garden Inn, Bloomfield.
The workshop is part of a nationwide SCORE initiative seeking to dismantle women’s life-achievement barriers, expand opportunities for personal growth – and further ensure that the economic, health and social needs of women are addressed.
Featured presenters at the seminar will include Annamarie Gulino Gentile, supervising partner at the law firm of Angiuli & Gentile, LLP; Orumé Hays, founder and managing director, Hays CPA, and Kay M. Pesile, owner and financial advisor at the Pesile Financial Group.
