STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – An upcoming webinar will underscore the elements needed for “Selling a Small Business and Succession Planning.”
The workshop, hosted by Richmond County Savings Bank (a division of New York Community Bank, member FDIC) and SCORE-Staten Island, will take place Tuesday, Oct. 13, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., via Zoom.
The seminar will be presented by Robert J. Scamardella, attorney and managing partner of Scamardella, Gervasi, Thomson & Kasegrande, P.C., in collaboration with certified public accountant Doreen M. Inserra.
A variety of topics will be highlighted, such as: Changing the ownership of a business through selling, closing or transferring a business to successors; establishing an exit strategy for retirement, which includes succession planning, transferring business ownership, and paying taxes; and strategies to save for retirement. A question-and-answer session will follow.
EDUCATION CREDITS
The webinar is offered free of charge. However, for qualified attendees, two-hour CE/CPE credits are available for a nonrefundable $30 cost.
At registration, tax practitioners must provide their PTIN, and CPA’s must provide their CPA License Number. A certificate will only be issued to attendees after submitting an evaluation and sign-off at the end of the program.
