STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (December 7, 2023) – Having a clear picture of one’s finances is essential when running a business. An upcoming SCORE-Staten Island online seminar is designed to help business owners secure stability through an understanding of financial statements.
The free webinar – sponsored by Richmond County Savings Bank, a division of Flagstar Bank, N.A., Member FDIC – will take place Wednesday, Dec. 20, 1 to 2 p.m., via Zoom.
“Every businessperson needs to understand their financial statements and how to present them to a banker. These are basics that can help any business with its operating and funding needs, as well as tax matters,” said the seminar’s presenter, Frank J. DeCandido, CPA/MBA, Certified Financial Planner® and a former president of the Staten Island Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).
Topics covered during the workshop will include: Understanding and Using Financial Statements; Income “Profit & Loss” Statement; Cash Flow Statement; Balance Sheet; Break-Even Analysis, and Benchmarking and Financial Ratios. A question-and-answer session will follow.
