STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Staten Island Board of Realtors® (SIBOR) is requesting donations of new children’s coats, which will be distributed to local kids in need through the organization’s “Keeping Kids Warm” initiative.

Organizers are seeking a range of children’s sizes, from 5 to adult medium. Drop-off at SIBOR headquarters will be available 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, beginning Tuesday, Oct. 15, and continuing through Thursday, Dec. 12.

SIBOR is located at 1150 South Ave., Suite 303, Staten Island, NY 10314.

The Keeping Kids Warm coat drive is an offshoot of SIBOR’s “Pack-to-School” program, which began providing essential classroom supplies to Island elementary school students 25 years ago.

“The provision of a new coat offers more than warmth – it enables a child to attend school more comfortably during the colder winter months,” states SIBOR Director of Membership Linda F. Smith, coordinator of the Keeping Kids Warm project.
