DespositExpress is the latest hi-tech amenity offered by the Staten Island, N.Y.-based business bank

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.  — Victory State Bank, a recognized industry leader in customer service, recently unveiled the latest reason for businesses to join its customer roster: The convenience of depositing checks without having to leave your office.

“Victory State Bank customers now have the option of scanning checks at their place of business and electronically transmitting them to us over a secure line,” explained Ralph M. Branca, president and CEO of the Staten Island, N.Y.-based bank. “Victory State Bank receives the information and handles the deposit as though it were taken at a teller’s window.”

A friendly competition among employees from all five Victory State Bank locations resulted in a name and catchphrase for the newly introduced service.

Operations Assistant Darah Boyd, who works at Victory State Bank’s headquarters in Great Kills, came up with the winning name for the new service: DepositExpress.

Her colleague Kathie Cassiliano, branch manager of Victory’s location in West Brighton, suggested the winning phrase: “We have a ‘scantastic’ way to process your business’s check deposits.”

The introduction of DepositExpress for Victory State Bank’s customers is one in a long list of amenities personifying the successful combination of high-tech banking and unparalleled customer service at the only commercial bank headquartered on Staten Island.

From a policy of having employees — not machines — answer its phones to the friendly and efficient way customers are treated at each of its branches, Victory State Bank repeatedly demonstrates the connection between top-notch customer service and its success.

“It’s often difficult for business people to take time off from a busy day to make a stop at the bank,” Branca said. “Victory State Bank is always looking for new, innovative ways to make it easier for our customers to run their businesses. Our new remote check-deposit system is an example of this.”
