
Staten Island Home Prices Continue to Push Higher

(June 19, 2026) – SCORE-Staten Island, a trusted resource for entrepreneurs and small-business owners throughout Staten Island and neighboring communities, has expanded its team of certified business mentors with the addition of three accomplished professionals. The newly arrived mentors bring decades of experience embracing a variety of business disciplines.
SCORE-Staten Island, Chapter 476 of the nationwide SCORE nonprofit association, provides free, confidential mentoring and practical business guidance to entrepreneurs, startups and established small-business owners throughout Staten Island, Brooklyn and parts of New Jersey.
Joining SCORE-Staten Island’s volunteer mentor corps are:
- Olesia Boiko, whose expertise includes advertising, marketing, branding, communications technology, and human resources.
- Victoria Petrova, a business professional with experience in customer service, marketing, management, operations and strategic planning.
- Ruth Ware, a management and operations specialist skilled in helping business owners identify critical resources and gain timely access to information needed to achieve their goals.
“Our mission is to empower entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey, whether they are developing a business idea, launching a startup, or growing an established company,” said Gina Ottrando, co-chair of SCORE-Staten Island. “The addition of Olesia, Victoria and Ruth strengthens our ability to provide specialized guidance that helps business owners make informed decisions, overcome challenges and build long-term success.”
The new mentors further expand SCORE-Staten Island’s ability to offer expertise across key business areas, including marketing, operations, management, strategic planning and business development.
“Many successful businesses begin with a great idea, but turning that idea into a thriving enterprise often requires experienced guidance,” said Bartholomew Sharp, co-chair of SCORE Staten-Island. “Our mentors have been there before. They provide practical insights, objective advice and real-world experience that can help entrepreneurs avoid costly mistakes and accelerate their path to success.”
Through one-on-one mentoring, educational workshops and business resources, SCORE-Staten Island helps entrepreneurs navigate everything from business planning and financing to marketing, operations and growth strategies.
