Internet and social-media marketing experts to discuss leading-edge strategies during Staten Island Small Business Development Center workshop
Dean Balsamini, director of the Staten Island Small Business Development Center, discusses digital-marketing strategies with Charles Di Bartolo, president of Castleton Corners-based BetterBizWorks.
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (Nov. 11, 2014) – Aspiring entrepreneurs and established business owners seeking to outpace their competition will learn some of the most effective ways for building their enterprise during a special free event on Staten Island.
Presented by the Staten Island Small Business Development Center (SI SBDC), the workshop will feature the latest tactics for “Building a Powerhouse Business or Professional Practice Through Social Media and Marketing.”
Guest speakers will include Charles Di Bartolo, president of BetterBizWorks, Castleton Corners, and Margie Barclay, director of advertising, Staten Island Media Group (Staten Island Advance/SILive).
The event will take place Nov. 18, 8:30 to 11 a.m. (8 a.m. registration), at the Jewish Community Center of State Island (Bernikow JCC), 1466 Manor Rd., Sea View.
“If you operate a business or professional practice, it’s virtually impossible not to have been affected by the latest evolution of technology,” said Dean L. Balsamini, director of the SI SBDC. “Digital marketing is something every entrepreneur needs to get a grasp of. If you’ve already taken advantage of sensible digital-marketing initiatives, you likely have experienced the benefits; if you’ve been reluctant or too busy to foray into the high-tech marketing arena, it could be having a negative impact on your bottom line.”
During the event, Di Bartolo will provide insight into the top-10 digital tools for boosting the growth of an enterprise. Ms. Barclay will discuss media in the digital age.
As seats are limited, reservations are advised. For pre-registration, Christine Purelis of the SI SBDC may be reached at 718-982-2495, or emailed at [email protected].
