Agreement with RealtyMX will allow Manhattan MLS members exclusive access to IDX

 NEW YORK (Dec. 20, 2013) – The Manhattan Association of Realtors (MANAR) has inked a deal with New York City-based RealtyMX to be MANAR’s MLS technology partner. The agreement was announced at MANAR’s Holiday Party on Dec. 16, at the Gotham Comedy Club, Manhattan.

 The agreement provides the Manhattan MLS with technology specifically designed for the Manhattan market to power the services it provides to subscribers. These services include IDX (Internet Data Exchange), Listing Syndication, technology discounts and access to industry leading websites.

Robb Pair, president of Harlem Lofts Inc. and the 2013 president of MANAR said, “IDX provides subscribers the ability to display seller’s listings on cooperating MLS broker and agent websites. The additional exposure is only available to MLS subscriber clients. It’s a big plus.”

Listing syndication services include the ability of subscribers to select distribution of their listings to leading portals, including Zillow, Trulia, StreetEasy, realtor.com and more than 40 other sites.

 Manhattan MLS subscribers receive the services of agentfolio.com and discounted access to PropertyShark.com.

 “Takumi Iwasaki of RealtyMX, a RETS (real estate transaction standard) expert with a keen understanding of the New York City market, was at the epicenter of ensuring the successful transition to the new system,” Pair said.

 The combination of the Manhattan MLS and RealtyMX “is a winning formula for brokers and agents,’ said Keller Williams COO, Zhann Jochinke, also president of the Manhattan MLS. “It provides powerful options with a clean user interface; and the subscription structure is simple and straight forward – that’s what our brokers and agents have been asking for.”

 The transition will complete over the next 4 to 6 weeks. The Manhattan MLS is now accepting subscribers who wish to prepare for the new service.
