There is no shortage of advice when it comes to running a business. Today’s information highway is paved with recommendations, instructions, guidance and litter –- lots and lots of litter.
Here is some advice you can bank on, courtesy of Rotary International: “The Four-Way Test of things we think, say or do.”
If you’re not familiar with this quiz, read it carefully; and then, decide whether you would want to do business with anyone who would proceed with a transaction after responding negatively to its four questions.
If you are in business, ask yourself the four questions before entering into a deal. If you can honestly answer “yes” to each of the questions, your decision will be reinforced by one of the best guides of all: Integrity.
The Four-Way Test of things we think, say or do
Is it the TRUTH?
Is FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOOD WILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
